PetPal – A Companion App for Pet Owners

Overview

PetPal is an iOS app designed to help pet owners better care for their pets by tracking health data and capturing memories. Built during Challenge 2 of the Swift Accelerator Program 2024, the app allows users to store personal information, monitor health stats, and take photos of their pets to preserve special moments.

My Role & Contributions

I designed and implemented key features such as the in-app camera for taking pet photos, the photo gallery while my teammates implemented the pet information tracking system. I focused on making the UI clean, friendly, and accessible for everyday use by pet owners.

• Built with a user-friendly SwiftUI interface

What I Learned

I learned how to work with camera integration in SwiftUI, manage persistent data for health tracking, and design intuitive interfaces that balance function with emotional value. It also gave me experience building complete apps from concept to prototype within a tight deadline.
